Those Faraday Girls
by Monica McInerney

The Age Of Miracles
By Karen Thompson WalkerJulia is growing up with the usual dilemmas of an adolescent - family, school, the boy she likes - however she is also faced with a much bigger problem. Everyone realises the days are getting longer and this throws the whole world out of whack.
For Julia it affects everyone and everything she knows and changes her for life.
"I absolutely loved this book. It so beautifully describes a very ordinary girl, dealing with very ordinary girl problems in a world that is drastically changed and dying. This isn't just speculative fiction about the end of the world, it is a poignant tale of how life can go on". Laura, student, former bookstore manager.
"Age of Miracles is a haunting coming of age story that takes place during a catastrophe of astronomical proportions - the 'slowing' of the Earth's rotation. This is the kind of book that will stay in your mind a long time after you have finished reading it". Judy Bastian, Store Manager, Dymocks Adelaide
"When authors write about a particular phenomenom they can get caught up with that to the detriment of the plot and character development. Karen Thompson Walker has melded all of these to make for a unique and fascinating read". Annie TBBC
